Have you every thought that giving credit to Customers means that you are acting like a bank - however unlike a bank you have no security over payment. So with credit, your Customer has received your product/service, probably used it to generate their sales and you haven’t been paid.
Make sure that when you are going through the selling process that your Customer clearly understands the terms of payment, which as a general rule should be “We provide the service and you provide the payment.”
